Honourbirth Foundation supports nursing mother with baby items, cash

Executive Director, Honourbirth Foundation, Mrs Elizabeth Onyemaechi has supported a nursing mother, Chioma Ohaka with some baby items and cash to enable her take good care of herself and her baby.

Chioma, who turned 19 this year, gave birth to a bouncing baby boy at Federal Medical Center, Owerri last month.

The 19-year old girl lives with her father, a cobbler and her 11 year old sister, in Umuagubiam, Oforola, Owerri West Council Area.

Chioma’s mother abandoned her four days after delivery and her father got married to another woman who gave birth to a baby girl and also eloped with her belongings.

Executive Director, Honourbirth Foundation, Mrs Elizabeth Onyemaechi, weekend, visited Chioma and supported her with some baby items and cash.

She advised her to be strong and ensure that motherhood does not stop her education and from achieving her purpose in life.

“Being a parent comes with its share of challenges and woes”, Mrs Onyemaechi stressed while advising Chioma to be responsive and set boundaries for herself.

She called for support from public-spirited individuals to enable Chioma train her baby and complete her education.

Chioma, in a chat with newsmen, said she was tricked by some group of persons claiming to be Nollywood stars and because of her diminutive nature, they promised to feature her in so many movies and help bring her to limelight.

She said one of the movie stars had sexual intercourse with her at a movie location, got her pregnant and jilted her.
